This is my goodbye

I miss calling you everyday, having someone to always text, someone to tell me they loved me everyday, laughing our heads off, our deep talks, I miss a lot of things we use to do.. 

I don't understand how you could leave me without closure or even a goodbye..

I've been waiting to talk.

All I needed was a goodbye.

The truth.

Today I finally realized you don't miss me. You're never going to come back and talk. I finally realized you don't need or want me.

It's going to be okay.

All I ever wanted was for you to be happy.

I'm so sorry. I'm sorry I couldn't be your everything.

I've learned a lot. I'm even starting to find the real me. 

I've turned to anger and embarrassment when all along I've been trying to hide the hurt.

Summer Highlights

Summer is my favorite time of the year. It has flown by, but been amazing.

We had a blast when we went to the U2 concert.

Pool days are always one of my favorite.

Doing a triathlon.

Eating too many popsicles and ice cream.

Working and getting free shoes.

Going to the Nike outlet.

Eating yummy watermelon.

Playing truth or truth squared.

Enjoying sparklers and the great Fourth of July. (Or was this the 24th..)

Great memories, new friends, goals, dreams.

Thank you summer.

Don't judge

Just when I thought my Sunday nights couldn't get any better.

It did.

Check it

Sweaty + Out of breath + Tired + Swimming + Biking + Running + Cramping + Aching = Accomplished.

I can check it off my list.

Triathlon.

It was very hard but am so happy that I got the opportunity.
It was one of the hardest things I have ever done so it was awesome to look back and see that I know push myself and do hard things.

Which means I am one step closer to my goal.

One day I, Brooke, will run a marathon. 

Lucky 7

Life isn't easy. Everyone is looking for love. To be cared for. Someone to listen to you. To feel comfort and peace. I got the whole package with my 7 ladies. Each is amazing in there own way:

Cailey: 

Can always make me laugh. When we boss each other around it's just us loving each other. 

Ashley: 

Such a sweetheart. What a peach she is. And she always gets my jokes.

Alyssa: 

Has a big heart. And definitely has the most contagious laugh. I love your homemade snickers. 

Kate: 

Always is there for me. We can talk about anything and enjoy our pool days and desserts.

Stacie: 

Very smart. Can always tell when something is wrong. She can comfort anyone. I can always count on her to be there for me. 

Megan: 

Always has the cutest stories. Who couldn't be jealous? She is always giving out the biggest hugs and the classic bum squeeze to show her love. 

Bro0ke:

We share the same name. How much cooler could we get? She is very smart and will do excellent at the big Y. And a great running buddy to push me to keep going.

You each have had a big impact on my life. Thank you for everything. I love you all very much. You have helped me through the hard times, and have made the good times. I couldn't have asked for better friends. I'm very blessed. Can't wait to see and hear from you all soon. Don't forget about the turtle reunion:)

Anyway

Tanner

We have made it a year. It has had its slow and fast moments. But in the end i'm just proud of you. Tanner I miss you. I miss our little gossip talks, making Rustin mad, our drives, how you can mimic anyone, dating tips, the scary movies we never finished because we got too scared, the lawn always in tip top shape, even you yelling at kids not to walk on it or even touch it in anyway, how we share our shoe obsession, and how we are both always in a hurry, even when we have no where to be or anything to do. You're a trooper. Thank you for everything. I have learned so much and appreciate the impact you have made in my life. You're doing great things and have taught me the importance in having a good attitude and being happy. Keep up the great work! Can't wait to show you how things work around college when you get back ;) See you in a year.

Called it

The time has come. It is finally coming to an end. After weeks of T.V. every Monday night, we're going to have our winner. I love my shows. But you heard it here first, I am calling it. JP is the one. Watch tonight. It's going to be a grand ending.

It's time

How can something you finally realize feel so right but be so hard? You never know what life is going to throw at you. But we all have sadness and hard times, so we can fully enjoy the good times and understand what happy is. I'm selfish. I have gotten caught up in everything. Not taking a time out to truly think things through. I did what I thought would make me happy in the moment. It all caught up to me. That's not what it's about. It's time to look at the bigger picture. See what is best for everyone in the end. No one said life would be easy. But when I look back, I would love to be able to say I did my best. I made the most of the time I had. Remember who you are. Don't forget that. Be strong. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise. Sometimes we need to learn things the hard way. But in the end we learn and become stronger. It's time. Stand up for yourself!

We're cool

Sometimes I get really bored.

This is usually what ends up happening.

He is kind of like my twin.

Stolen car wash

You're probably wondering how that happens.

I would be too.

My car was looking a little dirty so my mom and I went to get a car wash.

We went and over to the side there is the box machine where you tell which kind of a car wash you'd like and pay. So we put in our five dollars and the green light comes on to drive forward into the car wash and out of no where a car comes and cuts us off and sneaks right into the car wash.

What the heck?

We sat there and looked over at each other not knowing what to even think or say.

Then we both just started busting up laughing so hard.

Who does that?

It was an old lady. We still aren't sure if she did mean to hurry and steal out car wash or just needed one and drove up and didn't even notice. 

I wasn't even sure what to do at that point. So we just payed another five bucks and got OUR car wash. 

So that day we ended up getting a $10 car wash and a great laugh.

The light

Driving.

Brings along, road rage, honks, blinkers, swerving, the bird, not knowing if you should still go when the light turns yellow. Many many things come when you drive.

But then there comes the light. 

And it changes everything.

The green arrow.

This brings my friends and I much joy.

There are all those crazy drivers and crap that goes on. 

But then you're sitting at a intersection and

What more could you ask for when driving??

Embrace the green arrows out there when they come.

Find the little pleasures and things that bring joy.

Boutiques

I have found a big weakness of mine.

I absolutely love boutiques.

There are so many great ones right around here.

There is the new one down in Riverwoods.

The Busy Bitty,

Bliss, they are open for one weekend every month but so worth going to.

Every time I go I end up finding so many things that I love.

I have a new motto,

If I absolutely love it I, I might as well.

I usually am pretty decent when it comes to saving my money.

But once I walk in to one of these boutiques that is long gone.

I find so many great things but am satisfied with my purchases.

So go check them out and enjoy spending that money of yours!

Living Life

I enjoy quotes and sayings. Here is one that hangs in my house and that I read often:

"Life is not a race- but indeed a journey. Be honest. Work hard. Be choosy. Say "thank you", "I love you", and "great job" to someone each day. Go to church, take time for prayer. The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh. Let your handshake mean more than a pen and paper. Love your life and what you've been given, it's not accidental- search for your purpose and do it as best as you can. Dreaming does matter. It allows you to become that which you aspire to be. Laugh often. Appreciate the little things in life and enjoy them. Some of the best things really are free. Do not worry, less wrinkles are more becoming. Forgive, it frees the soul. Take time for yourself- plan for longevity. Recognize the special people you've been blessed to know. Live for today, enjoy the moment."

Delightful Fiber

I sure love Sundays. Singles ward, Sleeping in, Family dinners, Visiting with grandparents, Playing games. So what more could you possibly ask for?? 

Well I found these Fiber One bars. There are marvelous. 

First off, they taste so great. What a great combination. Oats and chocolate.

Second of all, they make you feel so great after. Eat a few after dinner and honey you'll never have felt better. So take my advice. Go get some and have one or two and it will do wonders;)

Here it goes

Here I am. Brooke. Yes, I finally have a blog. I have always loved reading others blogs. With all my friends writing and loving it they convinced me to give it a try. So here it goes. I'm certainly not a great writer or anything but It'll be fun giving it a try! I'm excited to give it a start.
